i have received a large number of emails from constituents in regards to education funding. i have asked for an urgent discussion with the county council leadership and hope the issues can be resolved.

Education is a key passion of mine. I was extremely keen to talk about the importance of a high quality education service during the election – we need action, not words.

These are extremely difficult times for local councils across Wales. The UK Government has continuously cut the amount of money they give to the Welsh Government. That said, we must do all we can to deliver high quality public services. I am extremely proud and fortunate to have had an excellent start in education. I then had the opportunity to get a first-class engineering apprenticeship at Coleg Cambria. I want to see institutions like this grow from strength to strength so that other young people benefit from the same opportunities as me – opportunities which can, if we get right, put Wales at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution.
